Data analyst internship

West Hampstead, London

A bit about us

Callaly is on a mission to reinvent femcare and be the most forward-thinking company for people with periods. We believe that nobody should have to put up with products that don’t work or haven’t improved in decades. Nor should they have to buy tampons and pads in one absorbency or in bulk from supermarkets just because that’s what they’ve always done. That’s why we launched a delivery service selling a much better option: Tampliners, the first real design innovation to tampons in 80 years. Since our soft launch in 2018 we’ve sold tens of thousands of Tampliners, and have won and been nominated for prestigious innovation awards. The Independent named us one of the “period-positive startups revolutionising the multi-billion pound feminine care industry” and we made it into Dezeen’s top 10 most forward-thinking designs for women. We’re now preparing for the next exciting phase for Callaly, launching a full range of organic period products – including tampons, pads and liners – this autumn.

What you’ll do

As the first dedicated data analyst intern to join this team, you will play a key role in building the foundation for measuring and tracking KPIs and managing internal dashboards. This is an opportunity to experience the realities of beginning from scratch and to work with a small and ambitious team where your contribution will be tangible early on. • Use the identified ETL (extract, transform, load) or CDI (customer data infrastructure) tool to aggregate data from various source systems within our tech stack and build the ultimate data sources that will be pushed into Tableau
  • Build dashboards in Tableau to reflect the final wireframes, including necessary calculations
  • Provide regular updates on dashboard progress, plans, and problems while identifying and testing solutions proactively
  • Train identified team members on how to use Tableau for their needs and support any team members who are building their own data visualisations and dashboards in Tableau
  • Monitor metrics and dashboards for accuracy and usability once live data is available and make and record any necessary changes that arise
  • Maintain an eye for efficiency and effectiveness throughout the foundation-building stage and suggest ways to improve and optimise going forwards
  • Create instructional documentation throughout your internship as required
